A couple of weeks ago Andrew got really sick really fast. When we put him down for the night a couple hours later he woke up and came in our room crying saying "I spilled" Poor kid. He threw up and he tells us he spilled, kinda cute but oh so sad. After two whole days of him drinking/eating and spilling it all back up, He was just getting worse, we ended up at the ER and they put an IV on him to get him rehydrated, which help so much. We were there for about 3-5 hours.
For awhile now he has been complaing about his feet hurting, Mike and I didn't think much of it since he liked to jump off our bed and chairs and basically everything. When we talked to his doctor he looked at his feet and said it looks like he has flat feet, which can be painful. So he reffered us to a podatrist. When we went to go see the specialist he didn't even look at his feet, he just sent him into get x rays. Then gave him shoe inscerts thinking it was just his hips rotated in which is normal for toddlers and as he got older his hips would go to where they are supposed to be. Well those shoe inscerts were to small and his feet over lapped them. They are hard plastic and would have eventually cut into his poor little feet. I will never go there again.
Since I was going to my chriopracter I figured maybe he could take a look at him to help me figure out what my next move should be. He actually look at him and examined his feet knees and hips. His feet and hips are fine. Its his knees, they have to much elasticity in them, meaning they twist inward more then is normal. and He suggested taking him to a pediatric orthopedic, someone who works with his size bones.
Saturday night we went to American Fork to visit with my moms family and so my Cousin Nicole can do our hair, Andrew was acting just fine and being himself. So it was shocking that after we made it back home and was getting ready for bed He came down with a fever. Well I gave him some tylenol and put him to bed hoping he would wake up feeling better. I was wrong.
Easter Sunday morning Andrew woke up unable to walk :( It was so scary. Everytime he would put preassure on his knee it would buckle and he would collapse to the ground in pain. Close to bed time he was finally able to walk on it carefully not putting a lot of preasure on his leg.
So he is still sick I don't think he ever got 100% better from last time and his legs are causing him a great deal of pain and we have to wait a week and a half to go see another specialist. I just hope they can find out whats wrong with him. He gets to see his doctor today to find out why he is sick still :(. He is only 2 1/2 years old and is going through so much right now. Not to mention he will be having to put up with a sibling soon! Poor kid. I hope we can figure everything out in time for the warm weather so he can run around and play in the sun!
Hopefully another update coming soon!
And thank you for all your prays, love and support!!
